Hi everyone!
I'm on my travels again and am going to tell you about my Disneyland adventures.
On our first day we were in Disney, we took it easy and only did two rides, one of witch was the It's a Small World Christmas. The reason for that is our first day was only a half day. All of Disney was Christmas themed until we left, so I will be mentioning it a lot.
On our second day in Disney, it was a Magic Morning. Magic Mornings in Disney are days when you get in early to a certain park if you are a guest at a certain hotel. Since we were staying at The Grand Californian Resort and Spa, we got in early to the California Adventure Park.
The first ride we hit was Toy Story Mania. Toy Story Mania is a 3D ride where you are put in a buggie of sorts and are driven around the ride to screens with targets on them. In front of you, there is a pop-gun and you need to shoot as many of the targets on the screen that you can in a short time period. Everyone had a ton of fun on it. I don't think it has a fast-pass, so if you ever go, stay on resort and take advantage of that extra hour in the morning.
After that we headed over to Toy Story Mania's neighbour, The California Screaming. It doesn't need a huge introduction, except for the fact that it is a rollor-coster. Wait, but it is not just any rollor-coster, it is a high-speed, sudden-dropping, loopty-looping thing of awesomeness. The highlight of my ride was being hit in the nose with a fly away hat!!!! Thankfully, ( for me and the owner) I was able to somehow catch it and pin it to the ground for the rest of the ride. I was also able to find the hat's owner. He was grateful that I caught it and sorry that it hit me in the face. Then we headed over to Cars Land and saw both Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater. We didn't go on any of the rides there because the normal line was huge and the fast-pass line was almost as long!
We also did a ride near Cars Land that was called The Tower of Terror. The ride was based on an old T.V show called The Twilight Zone. On the inside, the tower looked like an old, dusty hotel that needed a paint job. With that said, it also needed a new wall job. Anyways, it started like the Disney haunted house, they put everyone for that round in a room and closed the doors. It went dark and a thunder storm started outside the fake window. Then, the small, old fashioned T.V flickered on and told us what was going to happen ( you know, like, " The last time these doors opened, so did The Twilight Zone. Now those doors are opening to you") and as you may have guessed, all the power went out. Then they took us in to the fake service elevator and told us to buckle our seat-belts (literally) and they showed an other freaky thing then we went up and dropped down and up and down and up and down. Most of the time I didn't know if we were going up or down.
After we were let off, we went back to the hotel room and I realized that when you flushed the toilet, it flushed suddenly and made a loud WOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHing noise. I made a joke about it that was, " Forget about The Tower of Terror, how about The Toilet of Terror!?" That eased everyone's nerves. That night we ate at The Blue Bayou which is a restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
On our third, and final, day in the Disney parks, there was a Magic Morning for the original Disneyland park. We did more of the basic things that day. Things like The Haunted Mansion. At this time of year the mansion has a Christmas theme. It is based on the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas . It was a lot less terrifying as the normal ride, but still a little scary. That night, we ate at a character dinner at Ariel's Grotto. All of the original Disney princesses were there. I know that some of you are wondering if they served lobster or flounder. Ironically enough, they did and my dad had lobster as an appetizer.
The next morning, we were heading of to L.A, but before we left, we had breakfast with Chip and Dale. It was a buffet breakfast with characters roaming about for pictures and autographs. This time, we didn't do autographs but we did pins and if I do say so myself, my Puffle Pin collection is quite impressive!
That is all for now! I'll get you up to speed about L.A later.
BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! You are so lucky. You get to travel the world
